Publica delivers high-quality services on behalf of local councils, putting people and communities at the heart of everything we do. We’re looking for a Performance Improvement Lead to join our Business Information, Performance & Improvement team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys improving services, analysing performance, and working with managers to turn insight into action.
As a Performance Improvement Lead, you’ll work with services across the organisation to support effective performance management and continuous improvement. You’ll produce accurate and meaningful performance information, review operational delivery, and help managers take timely, evidence-based decisions.
You’ll play a key role in setting and monitoring KPIs, identifying under-performance, and supporting the implementation of change to improve efficiency and effectiveness. By translating data into clear, actionable insight, you’ll help services understand performance and drive sustainable improvement.
This is a hybrid role, with a mix of working from home and from our offices in Cirencester, so you will need to live within a reasonable commuting distance.
The post is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract for maternity cover, or until the postholder returns – whichever is sooner. The working pattern is Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor, review, and evaluate performance across a range of services
• Develop and maintain clear KPIs and targets, identifying trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
• Identify areas of under-performance and support managers with corrective action plans
• Produce clear, concise performance reports that turn data into insight
• Support service improvement activity and help embed new ways of working
• Work collaboratively to ensure performance data is accurate, consistent, and trusted
• Champion continuous improvement and promote a strong performance-driven culture
You’ll thrive in this role if you’re confident working with performance information and engaging with managers to improve outcomes. With also being comfortable balancing multiple priorities and working in a fast-paced environment.
