This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their data career who is passionate about analysis, problem-solving, and developing their skills in a supportive environment.
As a Junior Data & Performance Analyst, you’ll support the collection, preparation, analysis, and visualisation of data to help inform decision-making and assess service performance.
Working closely with senior analysts, you’ll help identify trends, investigate performance issues, and develop meaningful insights for teams across the organisation. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining data documentation and supporting data quality and assurance processes.
This is a hybrid role, with a mix of working from home and from our offices in Cirencester, so you will need to live within a reasonable commuting distance.
The post is offered on a 9-month fixed-term contract for maternity cover, or until the postholder returns – whichever is sooner. The working pattern is Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
• Gather, clean, and prepare data from multiple sources
• Analyse datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
• Monitor KPIs and performance metrics
• Produce clear dashboards and reports using tools such as Google Workspace, Power BI, or Excel
• Support root-cause analysis and improvement recommendations
• Maintain documentation of data sources, definitions, and methodologies
• Assist colleagues across the business with their data and reporting needs
• Validate data accuracy and carry out quality assurance checks
• Learn from senior analysts and proactively develop your analytical skills

You will need
• A keen interest in data analysis and uncovering insights
• Strong IT skills, with confidence using spreadsheets and digital tools
• Able to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
• Good judgement, with the confidence to question and explore issues
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
• Able to handle information securely and maintain confidentiality

• A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle
• Occasional additional hours may be needed to meet service demands
